Some activities you would do on a typical day at Cheesecake Labs
- Act as a technical leader in projects, focusing on performance and scalability
- Provide technical mentoring to the team, acting as a reference point for decision-making
- Collaborate with Engineering Managers and cross-functional teams
- Contribute to architectural decisions and propose innovative solutions
- Lead and execute projects for internal squads or directly with client teams
- Develop and maintain scalable front-end applications with JavaScript/TypeScript, focusing on React
- Collaborate on back-end solutions using Node.js
- Work with infrastructure tools and cloud services, including Docker and AWS
- Build and maintain well-documented, clean, and scalable code
- Review team code to ensure best practices
- Engage directly with clients to understand their business needs and craft tailored solutions
In order to succeed, you'll likely need the following skills
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2+ years working with our stack (Node.js, Python)
- Experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, React
- 2+ years in Technical leadership roles
- English proficiency, both verbal and written
- Experience with RESTful backend applications
- Experience with ReactJS and/or other Single Page Application libraries
- Familiarity with Python
- Experience with Git
- Experience with deployment processes using Docker, CircleCI, AWS, Heroku
- Experience with different databases
- Experience with AWS Serverless frameworks, Lambda, and API Gateway
- Experience with UNIX systems and terminal usage
- Knowledge about clean code, design patterns, and reactive programming
- Knowledge about design principles
- Customer-centric mindset and strong client-facing experience
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in technology (e.g. Blockchain and AI)
- Familiarity with Rust frameworks like Tauri is a plus (willingness to learn is acceptable)
- Background in AI product integration or RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) techniques is a bonus
Applicants must live in Brazil and have a Brazilian bank account, be legally allowed to provide services to a Brazilian entity and willingness to receive in Brazilian local currency (Real R$)
