About The Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior DevOps Engineer. In this role, you will be a key player in building, automating, and maintaining a robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure, ensuring the continuous delivery of high-quality software for one of our clients.
Engagement Details
- Contract Type: This is a contractor position for temporary, project-based engagements.
- Compensation: Payment is made in USD.
Some activities you would do on a typical day at Cheesecake Labs
- Develop and Manage CI/CD Pipelines: Use tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins to create, automate, and optimize build, test, and deployment processes.
- Manage Cloud Infrastructure: Architect, configure, and monitor infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring high availability, security, and cost optimization.
- Orchestrate Containers: Work with Docker and Kubernetes (K8s) to create and manage containerized environments, ensuring application portability and scalability.
- Administer Databases and Infrastructure: Manage and optimize the performance of databases like MongoDB, Redis, and Postgres, as well as configure network components such as Load Balancers and DNS.
- Implement Monitoring and Observability: Set up and maintain monitoring systems with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or New Relic to ensure application health and performance.
- Champion the DevOps Culture: Act as a bridge between development and operations teams, improving communication, collaboration, and agility in problem-solving.
In order to succeed, you'll likely need the following skills
- 5+ years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, or in a similar role.
- Advanced or fluent English proficiency (both verbal and written).
- Solid experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins.
- Knowledge of MongoDB, Redis, and Postgres.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and/or New Relic.

Deep knowledge of Linux server administration, Load Balancer configuration, and DNS.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Experience with the Render cloud platform.
- Familiarity with event-driven systems, workflow orchestration, or streaming data.
- Exposure to AI/ML pipelines, AI Agent frameworks, or deep experience with Web Scraping and Residential Proxies.
