Cheesecake Labs is a software design and development company that delivers digital products that drive business impact.
Today, with more than 10 years of experience connected to Silicon Valley, Cheesecake Labs has delivered 300+ digital products for a diverse range of clients, from Fortune 500 to fast-growing startups, that have the challenge of innovating in the world’s most competitive markets.
Among our clients, we have leading brands such as AB InBev, Singularity University, FINN and Tapcart.
Our commitment to high-quality services has earned us recognition as the Top 1 Mobile Development company in Latin America and among the top 10 globally for Mobile App and Custom Software Development by Clutch and a GPTW-certified company for 9 years in a row.
The story behind this role
Cheesecake Labs has always had a strong reputation, social presence, and consistent recognition in platforms like Clutch.
But brand alone is no longer enough.
We’re at a moment where marketing needs to evolve from “awareness-driven” to revenue-connected: helping sales move faster, generating a qualified pipeline, and positioning us where future buyers are actually searching (including LLMs, not just Google).
Some things will continue. Others, we need to rethink — and that’s exactly why this role exists.
We’re looking for a Marketing Manager who is comfortable operating in this transition: someone who can balance branding with performance, and is excited about testing new ways of generating demand.
What this role actually looks like
This is not a “run campaigns and post on social media” type of role. On a typical cycle, you might:
-
Work closely with leadership and sales to refine positioning and identify where we can actually win deals
-
Translate business priorities into marketing initiatives that generate SQLs, not just traffic
-
Build and evolve sales enablement materials (case studies, decks, narratives, proof points)
-
Rethink how we approach SEO — moving beyond traditional Google rankings into LLM-driven discoverability
-
Manage and optimize channels like LinkedIn Ads and niche directories as testing grounds for pipeline generation
-
Oversee website and content strategy with a strong focus on conversion and relevance to ICPs
-
Partner with internal teams and external vendors to execute campaigns and content
-
Use Attio to track performance, nurture leads, and improve funnel efficiency
- Lead and develop the marketing team, running regular 1:1s and supporting career growth, ensuring high performance aligned with business goals
-
Support employer branding initiatives when relevant — but without losing focus on business impact
Some initiatives will be well-scoped. Others will start as hypotheses. Part of the job is figuring out what’s worth scaling, and what’s not.
What tends to work well here
We’ve seen that people who thrive in this role usually:
-
Have experience in B2B services or consulting environments, where sales cycles are longer and more complex
-
Know how to connect marketing efforts to pipeline and revenue (not just MQLs or vanity metrics)
-
Are fully comfortable working with some stakeholders in English (especially with US-facing strategies)
-
Can navigate ambiguity and define direction without waiting for everything to be structured
-
Have hands-on experience with tools like Attio, website, and digital channels
- Have experience managing and developing people (career conversations, performance management, regular 1:1s), and know how to balance team growth with business impact
-
Understand how to balance brand building and performance marketing
-
Are curious about new acquisition channels (especially LLM SEO / AI-driven discovery)
-
Collaborate well across teams (Sales, Leadership, Ops) and know how to influence without authority
This probably won’t be your thing if
Just to be transparent:
-
You prefer focusing only on branding or only on SQL performance -> this role sits in between
-
You expect a fully structured marketing plan to already be in place
-
You’re not interested in being close to sales or thinking about revenue impact
-
You rely only on traditional SEO and are not open to experimenting with new approaches
-
You’d rather execute tasks than define what should be done
There’s nothing wrong with any of that! It’s just not where we are right now.
