The story behind this role

You’ve probably seen outbound roles focused mostly on brute-force volume: more outreach, more meetings, more pipeline.

That’s not what we’re building here.

At Cheesecake Labs, we’re building a more modern outbound engine — combining targeted prospecting, strong research, AI, automation, and high-quality execution to generate qualified pipeline with precision and scale.

This is also not a classic BDR role where success comes from following rigid scripts or working from static lead lists. We already have leadership involved in defining direction, personas, positioning, and priorities.

What we need is someone who can take that direction and turn it into execution: building targeted lists, enriching data, personalizing outreach, operating the tools, and helping generate qualified sales opportunities.

That’s exactly why we’re hiring.

We’re looking for an Outbound Growth professional who enjoys combining outbound execution, tooling, automation, research, and communication in a fast-moving international environment.

What this role actually looks like

This is not a “send cold emails all day” type of role.

On a typical week, you might:

  • Build and operate targeted outbound campaigns based on defined ICPs, personas, and messaging priorities
  • Research accounts, buyers, and signals using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Clay, and other prospecting platforms
  • Create, enrich, clean, and maintain lead lists with a high bar for quality and relevance
  • Execute multichannel outbound through email, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels
  • Manage email warm-up and follow deliverability best practices to keep outreach healthy and effective
  • Use HubSpot and other systems to maintain clean CRM data, track activity, and support pipeline visibility
  • Build or maintain lightweight automations using tools like Zapier, Make, APIs, or webhooks
  • Use AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to support research, personalization, workflow acceleration, and campaign execution
  • Experiment with messaging, sequences, channels, and operational workflows to improve conversion over time
  • Work closely with the CEO and US Sales team to execute outbound efforts with speed and consistency

Some parts of the role are repetitive and execution-heavy. Others require judgment, prioritization, and problem-solving.

The best candidates are comfortable with both.

What tends to work well here

We’ve seen that people who thrive in this role usually:

  • Have strong hands-on experience with outbound prospecting and pipeline generation
  • Feel comfortable working inside a modern GTM stack, including tools such as Apollo, Sales Navigator, HubSpot, Clay, sequencing tools, enrichment tools, and AI tools
  • Have the analytical ability to work with lists, CRM data, enrichment flows, and operational details without getting stuck on basic tooling
  • Can balance quality and scale — not just generating volume, but generating relevant and qualified opportunities
  • Feel confident working in English with international teams and clients in day-to-day collaboration — at least advanced level
  • Know how to take a defined ICP or campaign goal and turn it into a practical outbound workflow
  • Are curious about automation and comfortable using tools like Zapier, Make, APIs, or webhooks to improve efficiency
  • Already use AI as part of their daily workflow — whether for research, account analysis, personalization, writing support, or execution at scale
  • Bring a strong bias for action, ownership, and continuous improvement

This probably won’t be your thing if

Just to be transparent:

  • You’re looking for a classic BDR/SDR role based mostly on volume and static playbooks
  • You prefer receiving fully ready-made lists instead of researching, building, refining, and operating your own outbound workflow
  • You get frustrated by operational work involving CRM hygiene, enrichment, tooling setup, or campaign execution details
  • You’re uncomfortable with automation tools, AI workflows, or learning how systems connect
  • You prefer roles that are mostly relational and conversational, with less emphasis on tooling and execution
  • You struggle to work in English with international stakeholders on a regular basis
  • You want a role focused mostly on strategy, without hands-on responsibility for making campaigns run

There’s nothing wrong with any of that — it’s just not how we operate.

One last thing
